Hollie Stevens has graced the set of pretty much every Kink.com website, starred in over 100 Kink shoots and been a member of the Kink.com family for many years. Recently, Hollie was diagnosed with breast cancer and has not been able to work as much as she would like to. She’s been undergoing chemotherapy for the last few months and will soon need a mastectomy, reconstructive surgery, and radiation.

Breast Cancer Update:

Well, tomorrow will be my last day for chemo treatment   Then I’ll be able to get this PICC Line out of my arm and then it’s hot tub time again!!  My next doctor’s visit is on Tues.  During this visit, I’m supposedly meeting up with my surgeons to go over the possibilities of my operation.  Finally, no more dealing with the chemo BS and time for my hair to start growing back!  Being bald was entertaining for a minute, but I miss my hair.

Breast Cancer Update:

So, I had another treatment on Monday.  Only 1 more treatment to go now!!  This last treatment kind of knocked me on my ass.  A bit more than I had expected.  I won’t go into detail but, I’m sure some trash men had some pretty interesting stories to tell when they went home to their families Tues. afternoon…

I still don’t have the details on my surgery yet.  It’s kind of driving me a bit crazy.  It’s getting closer to that time and it’s making me very nervous.  I’ve never been put under before, nor have I ever had a major surgery.  Dear friends of mine have been trying to convince me that it’s not a big deal.  For me, it kind of is.

Breast Cancer Update:

So I’ve switched to a different type of chemo for my last treatment, which was on the 27th of June.  Holy crap, that treatment felt like a mighty bitch slap.  My whole body was in pain for four days or so, couldn’t sleep since I was in so much pain and my feet went numb.  Still are.  Sucks.  Have to go back in for it tomorrow.  So not looking forward to it.  Luckily, my roommate scored these new sleeping pills from her doctor.  So, I’m hoping to sleep the pain away. I hope…

Only 2 treatments left after this.  Yay!  My doctor told me that a sleep specialist would be getting a hold of me soon to see what the deal is, but no calls yet.  I’m pretty annoyed by this.  I was also told by my nurse that my next appointment to see my doctor (which is next Tues.) we’ll finally be discussing my surgery.  I’m terrified by the thought of surgery.  I’ve never even been put under.  Yeah, very nervous…

I’m actually in the hospital right now writing this.  I’m sitting around waiting to get my blood work results back before I can start chemo treatment #4.  I’ll have 4 more left after this one.  Guess they’re going to switch the type of chemo treatment on me.  Apparently this one is going to be a bit more aggressive.  And instead of being in for 2-4 hours for my treatment, the new one will take 6-8.  Yay…

So, this last Monday, I went in for chemo treatment #3.  I actually remembered to take a photo of the shot so you could have an idea of of insanely huge this thing is:

I think it should say ACME on the side of it.  Totally looks like something out of Looney Tunes.  It takes half and hour to distribute that shot through my PICC Line.  I have one more treatment with this type of chemo and then they’re switching me to something else for the last 4.  I can’t remember the name of what they’re planning on switching me to.  Whatever…

So, I received my first chemo treatment on Monday.  I didn’t really know what to expect.  All I was told was that I’d feel week & puke my guts out.  Well, it is now Thursday and I haven’t puked yet.  They put me on 3 different anti nausea meds, so I’m sure that helped.  I’ve been extremely tired though.  During the chemo treatment, the oncologist lectured me about how my  PICC Line needed to be cleaned (which is beyond anything I can do) hooked the tubes up to it and let the chemo fun time action begin!  Here’s a photo of my PICC line:

I find this device highly annoying.  I’ll have to keep it in my arm until I’m finished with the chemo treatment.  So until then, I can no longer emerge this arm under water.  No more swimming & I have to put a bag over my arm every time I have to shower or bathe.  Awesome…  And  now all I have to look forward to is just having all of my hair fall out!

So, I know it’s been a while since my last update.  Not a whole lot has really gone on though.  I mean, things have obviously been going on but, has been a bit slow with the doctors.  I went in for a bone scan on the 6th, a CT scan over the past weekend, and had a PICC Line put in my right arm a couple of days ago.  Here’s a photo:

I find this device highly annoying already.  I’ll have to keep it in my arm until I’m finished with the chemo treatment.  So until then, I can no longer emerge this arm under water.  No more swimming & I have to put a bag over my arm every time I have to shower or bathe.  Awesome…

I finally received my results from my bone and CT scan.  Everything came back negative!!  I’m so relieved by this.  I mean, this whole process is still going to suck balls, but it could have been a whole lot worse.  I also found out that I start my chemo treatment on Monday.  I was warned by my doctor that even with all of the nausea meds, I’m still going to be hurling for several days.  My dear friend Juliette Stray told me (she came with for my doctor visit) that I’m going to be a puke princess.  I should have her make me a tiara.  A purple one.  To match my PICC line of course .

So my friend Edwin Heaven, creator of Throx “The Cure for the Missing Sock“, has designed Throx Stars based on the blue and green star tattoo on my arm. All profits from Throx Stars go to my breast cancer fund. Here’s what they look like:

My friends told me that I should put up a wish list. Since I’m going to be spending most of my time at home and unable to work on chemotherapy, I thought I’d pick out stuff that would be helpful or entertaining. I know friends and fans wanted to help so, I suppose this could be another way.

Not much of a breast cancer update this week.  However, (over the weekend) I met up with my oncologist to go over my chemotherapy info.  I assumed that I’d be on it this week, but I still haven’t recieved any word.  That really worries me.  I feel like I haven’t got a lot of answers still.  I have to go in for a bone scan early tomorrow morning to make sure the cancer hasn’t spread to my bones.  I really hope that that will not be the case.
